A Sense of Shifting is a photography book that celebrates queer dance groups across the United States, and my task as the designer was to capture the spirit of play as well as subversiveness while not distracting from the beautiful photos and illuminating words. The text blocks shift up and down from one page to the other, the photos take up more of the page as the chapter progresses, reflecting how the artists depicted expand their usable space through their art
