When I was one of three design fellows at Chronicle Books from 2022 to 2023, we had a friendly competition to make the promotional material to advertise the next year’s fellowship. Although mine was not used, the team felt that my direction was strong. I used the first Tarot card in the deck - The Fool - as a symbol of the next fellows embarking on their publishing journey.
